SCOLARSHIP

We, the teaching and management team at STUDIO MILE END,  recognize the under-representation of people with more marginalized identities in the STUDIO MILE END community and in the greater Montreal yoga community.

In an effort to evolve, to value inclusivity and diversity and to make yoga accessible to as many people as possible, we are working to develop the STUDIO MILE END Diversity Initiative

One of the actions in this initiative is the implementation of  a scholarship program for our Teacher Training programs.   These scholarships are specifically for those with more marginalized identities who are under-represented in Western yoga communities.  This includes, but is not limited to, people from the LGBTQIA2U+ community, people of colour, people living with disabilities, etc.

We recognize that not everyone who is under-represented in yoga studios has a lack of funds. We do, however, acknowledge that it can be uncomfortable and risky coming into a space where the majority of participants, along with the teaching and administrative staff are from dominant identities.

This scholarship seeks to recognize this situation and to encourage people from under-represented groups to take part in the training. For the 2024 300hrs Yoga Teacher Training, 1 partial scholarship will be offered.

Additional admission requirements: The applicant must be at least 18 years old.
