RACHEL JACOBS
BIOGRAPHy

Rachel has been a yoga teacher since 2009. She completed her teacher training at Downward Dog Toronto and, since moving to Montreal, has continued to deepen her knowledge through various yoga trainings and workshops at different studios.
She is also certified in prenatal yoga instruction. Before dedicating herself fully to yoga, Rachel worked as an acrobatic artist in the circus world with Cavalia and Cirque Éloize.
Living on tour and performing every night can be challenging and destabilizing, and yoga has always helped her maintain balance, both physically and mentally. Rachel’s teaching is rooted in a holistic understanding of the body and postures.
She breaks down each movement and posture to help students better understand their bodies and explore how alignment and posture influence their everyday lives.

Bandha Flow
Thursday, September 17 at 6 PM

Bandha Flow is a dynamic vinyasa practice that emphasizes the energetic locks (bandhas); specific areas of subtle muscular and energetic engagement in the body used to support stability, lift, and efficient movement.
Through breath-led sequencing, we’ll work with these internal activations to support breath, core connection, and alignment, creating space and ease in the body.
Included with your Festival Passport.
