BÉATRICE AYOTTE
BIOGRAPHy

Driven by a passion for exploration and adventure, I have always sought to push beyond my personal limits. While this journey first took shape through physical challenges, discovering yoga allowed me to carry that intention into much deeper territory. To me, yoga is a powerful practice of awareness and transformation, one that has the potential to create not only personal change, but collective transformation as well.
Teaching since 2014, my love of yoga led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, where I was first introduced to neuroscience. Fascinated by the brain's remarkable capacity to adapt and change, I went on to complete a Master's degree in Neuroscience at McGill University.
Today, my work brings these two passions together. I integrate neuroscience into both my personal practice and my teaching, exploring how conscious movement can support the nervous system and cultivate the brain's capacity for growth, resilience, and transformation.
Action potential, the scientific term for the electrical signal that enables communication between neurons, holds a deeply poetic and empowering meaning for me. It symbolizes our innate capacity for change and possibility, which is why I chose it as the name for my neuroscience-inspired yoga workshops.

ULTIME: the seasons
Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 PM

This edition of L’Ultime is inspired by the cycle of the seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
We’ll move through the transformations that unfold in nature with each season, and explore what they awaken within us.
The movement and music are designed to support the sensations, emotions, and states of being that each season invites.
Included with your Festival Passport.
Potentiel d’action: The Flow State
Saturday, September 19 at 11:30 AM

The flow state, also known as “flow,” refers to a psychological state characterized by complete immersion in an activity, where attention is fully engaged, distractions and self-critical thinking fade away, and action seems to unfold with fluid ease.
This state is often accompanied by heightened concentration, an altered perception of time, and a sense of unity in which the boundary between the action and the one who acts appears to dissolve.
When certain conditions are met, the nervous system becomes particularly receptive to learning, creativity, and immersion in movement.
Widely studied in psychology and neuroscience, flow is associated with improved well-being, performance, and the overall quality of lived experience.
This workshop offers both a theoretical and practical exploration based on the latest scientific research.
We will examine the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying the flow state as well as the conditions that support its emergence, through various exercises and yogic sequences combining movement, breath, and sustained attention.
Open to all levels and backgrounds, this workshop will deepen your understanding of the brain mechanisms linked to this optimal state of engagement and provide concrete tools to integrate into your practice, supporting its emergence and enriching your experience of movement.
