YOGA FESTIVAL 2024

Asana FOR Pranayama

SUNDAY 15TH OF SEPTEMBER AT 8AM

According to yoga philosophy, a human being has five sheaths or layers, which means we are capable of living five dimensions of experience at any given moment. In this practice we will initially connect with the physical layer through restorative postures and slow movements to free up our lungs, hips and align our spine in preparation for a deep expansive breathing experience.

We will work with our individual prana (personal life force), acknowledging that this prana is not only received through external forces, but in fact it can also be self generated through yogic practices such as pranayama. By piercing into the pranayamic layer, we can gain access to other subtle layers and simultaneously support the physiological activities of our body by ensuring the distribution of energy to our tissues, organs and systems.
